Re: New Ground -Portland

When we stayed there last Nov the guy told us a waste point was being added to the toilet block!

Re: coach ‘toilet drops’

Yes it’s got toilets & showers - and it’s not exactly cheap! It’s near to a MTB centre so needs must.
We were going to stay on Powys car parks for the previous couple of nights - but have now found a CAMC CL for £5 with black waste - and red kites - so not a disaster!

coach ‘toilet drops’

Just found this http://www.coachbuddy.org.uk/toiletdrops.html I’ve previously tried to contact a coach company near me - but with no response - but I’ve just found this map of ‘toilet drops’. Has anyone else tried to contact one of the stops? I’ve just contacted the one in snowdonia as I’m going to ...

Re: CAMpRA Volunteer Group

Yes.

I did contact my local forestry commission site - westonbirt arboretum- to suggest volunteer litter picks - but apparently they don’t have a problem with litter. Too posh?!

Re: Bury Port

The mayor is also chair of the regeneration committee - so I’ve sent an email stressing how enabling Motorhomes to park within walking distance of Burry Port would help in its regeneration (as opposed to 2.6m miles away at Pembrey). Also that the trade would be all year round not just summer. Pointi...

Re: Motorcaravan Laundry Points

How strange as he suggested that he has emailed CAMpRA?

OH has tested positive so I’m doing my best not to catch it from him - am finding it quite stressful. Really thought after 2 jabs we wouldn’t be in this position! day 4 only 6 to go.....

Re: Motorcaravan Laundry Points

@steve I’ve just received an email from Revolution - but they appear to have misunderstood my email! They say that they have “emailed the website” - which I assume is CAMpRA.org.uk Just in case it’s not spotted the email is from Elliot.poston@photo-me.com who is the Revolution business development m...

Re: Motorcaravan Laundry Points

re Green Welly - yes, as others have pointed out, they do NOT want to become ‘a destination for campervans’ so I think re Green Welly I think the topic is closed. And re waste they say ‘cost is too high’. As there are campsites nearby, and they don’t want to compete, I think ‘ok’. I haven’t had a re...

Re: Motorcaravan Laundry Points

Re Green Welly - I’ve checked S4S and they are not on there - but there are 2 campsites in the village and a pub stopover literally next door. There also was a stopover at the tourist office - but that’s now a restaurant and overnighting is now not allowed. Somebody had suggested that they might be ...
