Re: Disused Forest and Land Campsite at Balmacara, near Kyle of Lochalsh
Youngmo, I don't understand your reply. It sounds very negative towards motorhomes, and yet this is a forum for people campaigning for the very thing you seem to be complaining about. Also, I read the minutes of the Community meetings about it, and the site is not just going to be a campsite. Also, ...

Re: Highland Council voluntary charge car parks including Moho overnights
Alexander J why have you reposted this two years later. It mentions two spots I know for a fact STILL do NOT allow overnight parking 2 years later. Plockton still has the original Highland Council signage in its FREE car park, which states Overnight parking IS NOT ALLOWED. Dornie is the same. The lo...

Re: Motorcaravan Laundry Points
Personally, I can't imagine the Green Welly as an Aire. The car park is not that big and its usually totally packed with traffic (and jammed up as the access in/out is poor).

Re: National Trust for Scotland
No! No surprise there. Hopefully when National Trust open up some of their car parks, NTS will wake up to the idea. Also, if more people email NTS asking them to open up their car parks, that would help.

Are the cafe motorhome parking spaces in addition to the Aire spaces?
Re: Arisaig
Fantastic video on You Tube - but would be great to be able to see where the proposed Aire is in relation to the village.

Wester Ross Biosphere
Here is the leaflet the Wester Ross Biosphere have produced. It's a helpful leaflet for touring motorhome/campervan visitors. It might be a useful example to show other areas how key information can be easily summarised to support local economies. The leaflet identifies just a couple of Aires/Design...

Re: Highland Council ; Tourism Committee Meeting 17 March 2021.
Brilliant to see all these developments but we need to remember that they are not ALL about motorhomes and campervans. Many of the facilities are general provisions for tourists in cars, and coaches. Great to see Scotland doing so well with installing extra facilities but we were completely swamped ...

Re: Perthshire - Kinloch Rannoch CDP - application withdrawn
I decided to contact the Ward 4 councillors at Perth and Kinross Council again last night. That's because of the news item in the Press and Journal, which described Highland Council's strategy for tackling the predicted increased visitor numbers this summer. I thought it would be good to share what ...

Re: Photos of possible locations
Last night I decided to email the North Kessock details to CCP (Alice Yentur) - I've been in touch with her before regarding the site of the old Forest and Land Scotland campsite at Balmacara. This is the reply I got from Alice about North Kessock: "Thank you very much for this detailed explana...
