Asking for press coverage on 1st night out supporting a local pub

A pub close to us, on the east Norfolk coast, is our first destination for a night out on Tuesday, their first day open. They’re up for some publicity from the local newspaper, so I’ve invited a reporter and photographer to come and see. Let’s hope they’ll come! ... Is anyone else in membership doin...

Re: Dunwich Town Trust - response

My response... “Hello Nick Well, from what I heard from the cafe owner, that was expected. At least there’s no rules stopping daytime visits. He appreciates the custom. People have been campaigning in the past for bicycle routes, disabled bays, pedestrian zones, doggie bins, children’s playgrounds, ...

Dunwich Town Trust - response

Response from this Suffolk coast village that we visited on Bank Holiday Monday. “Hello Mr Shelbourne As promised, I have canvassed views from the Town Trust about your enquiry concerning motor homes on Dunwich beach. Unsurprisingly, to me at least, all responses I have received have been totally op...

Re: “Historic Houses”

He’s still talking to me... His response... (He hasn’t said how his marketing reaches his members, so I’m not sure if I could just supply him with a PDF or link to our website, but I think I’ll answer that way, thanking him for all he can do, and as he’s editor of his magazine it may be an article h...

Re: “Historic Houses”

Actually I wrote this... “ Hello James I wondered if you’d say something like that! Chambers of Commerce are much the same. It’s not a good thing! We’re only a voluntary group, with no income. We have achieved a lot by talking and emailing LAs, Parking Officers, Tourism bodies, Economic Development ...

Re: “Historic Houses”

They seem to be only for the marketing, but don’t have the initiative to look out for new opportunities to develop more business for them. I thought I’d write back and say ‘We’re only a voluntary group, have achieved a lot by conducting a survey of motorhomer users, and commissioned a strategy for M...

Re: “Historic Houses”

A reply today! How much money did you say we had in our funds, ha ha! Maybe they’d like an ad on our forum instead? Dear Mr Shelbourne, Thank you for your email, which clearly contains a wealth of information. The first thing to say is that we are a representative association, and our members are al...

Re: Thaxted, Essex

Hello PJay and welcome to CAMpRA. This is a useful stop, and it also is walking distance to a pub, takeaway and restaurant - ideal There’s a fuel station, too, so I imagine that the town could do very well from MHs stopping over there. I wonder if, with your happy experience of it if you might like ...
