Re: St Annes Motorcaravan Parking survey
You can find the detail and survey at:

I have responded neither supporting or objecting to the proposal as follows:
"It is good to note the success of the scheme but is this damping down of use the best solution? Surely the increase in visitors is to be welcomed not restricted. I would view the proposal as a temporary solution. There is no mention of the new charges.
In the longer term, the council should look at turning over one of the large enough car parks for the sole use of motorhome parking and install proper Aire services."
Is this one that Camping Car Park could get involved in?

Re: St Annes Motorcaravan Parking survey
Survey completed - I set out a case for expanding Fylde’s welcome to motor caravans, not restricting it. I gave them CAMpRA’s details & also plugged Camping Car Parks as a possible partner to help expand Fylde’s welcome, albeit I have no local knowledge of the locality.
Re: St Annes Motorcaravan Parking survey
Survey completed, thanked them for providing services for motorcaravans and said they were respected by the motorcaravan community.
But as other councils are planning for more motorcaravans and benefits from local spending they should look at out to cope with extra demands by using empty car parks for overnight parking, remove restrictions on day time parking for motorcaravans and ease the way for businesses to allow overnight parking.
Car parks empty at night and weekends could be used for motorcaravan overnight parking with set times

Re: St Annes Motorcaravan Parking survey
I see their website states Motorhome overnightbparking is not currently permitted.
The charges at St Annes swimming polol car park are
9-6 (chargeable hours - Motorhomes 24 hours)
Up to 1 hr. £1.20
1 - 2. 2.20
2 - 3. 2.90
3 - 4 3.40
Over 4. 4.50
Motorhome Overnight Parking
Up to 1 day (24hrs) £10
2 days (48hrs) £18
3 days (72hrs) £25
Current North Beach prices for MH are
£7, £14, £20 for similar time periods
ALL the motorhome time periods are recommended to be reduced to max of 48hrs, (similar to an Aire), and the prices to be increased - to what, The Current £25 max price at North Beach, or dearer?
The current £14 to £18 charges would be more appropriate. They want to encourage motorhome owners , not discourage them, ( Stratford on Avon council proposals come to mind).
