Regional Campaign Groups

Post by Roy »

A regional campaign group is a forum that is only visible to its members.
If you would like to take a more active roll in the campaign activities in this region you can request to be a member of the group
Just reply to this post “I would like to be involved in the Regional Campaign group"
Once you have joined the campaign group it will be visible to you and members of the group will be listed in the welcome message.
East Midlads has two campaign groups “East Midlands” and “Lincolnshire”
Your reply will be removed once you have been added to the forum.
Leadership are members of all campaign groups.

Hi Paul, you should now see the East Midlands Campaign group.
We also have a specific Lincolnshire group if that is of interest?

Thanks Steve.

We live in Hinckley, Leicestershire which is generally considered East Midlands but we are 2 mins from the Warwickshire border which is generally considered West Mids. Should I be in the West Mids campaign group also or is it best sticking to one ?

Is there some guidance on how I can be active ?

Hi Paul, you can join as many as you wish.
Very few in West Midlands group so I can add you.
Now Hinckley very well, went to Hinckley grammar school.

Leadership are members of all the campaign groups so you have direct contact and the campaign group forums are only visible to group members which allow things to be planned away from the main group.

The best way to be active is look out for potential sites for waste points or Aires.
Spent some time checking out some of the documents in the library.

The car wash leaflet is a good one as any hand car washes can add a waste point very easily and £5 for a motorcaravan to empty waste is easy money.

We are getting support from Revolution Laundry if we put in leads for outdoor laundry machine they will suggest adding a waste point and they will install the drains.

If you get a local waste point parking becomes easier.
Any farm shops or craft centres, Small cafes etc who need to attract visitors are good places.

There are lots of examples on the Facebook group under popular topics “suggestions”
Anywhere with a car park.
