Marina Base Camp, Lydney, Gloucestershire

Post by Theclarkes619 »

Hi, last year just before Covid we stayed at Marina Base Camp, Lydney, Gloucestershire.
At the time of our visit a year ago they were calling themselves a campsite, during our visit we explained that it was more suited to be called an aire, the owners agreed and understood that this was the market that they should be looking into.

The area used it at the rear of their business, its a stunning little spot rightvnext to a canal with room for around 8 motorhomes, a toilet, water and ehu are all available, the toilet drop at the time of our visit was just a grid that they lifted up, although they were looking into the options to provide a proper drop.

A short walk into the town of Lydney or down to the river

1 year on I don't know how they have progressed, but the owner was lovely, Marika and I'm sure that they would be up for any advise.
