Re: Snowdinia 360
I have contacted Conwy County Council and asked if they could allow overnight parking in the 5 allocated motorhome spaces in Morfa Bach long stay car park. Currently parking is only permitted between 8am and 6pm. I attached the ‘staycation boom’ template and asked if they could trial overnight parking.

Morning guys, not sure if you have had all the updates as CAMpRA have grown so fast it’s difficult to keep up.
We are now working with several tourism bodies and councils with a degree of urgency to prepare for the post lockdown rush.
Several councils are looking at our Emergency Staycation Recovery Plan and it is already being implemented in Argyll and Bute.
We now have lots of download documents on www.campra.org.uk and a very active forum.
Our membership as grown from 200 in July to nearly 16,000.
Our leadership team are participating in zoom meetings with several bodies to relay our experience in motorcaravan tourism.
Our strategy document has been welcomed by visit England and Scotland (we struggle to get any dialogue with Wales) .
We are very concerned about the potential negative impact that will result from the invasion of motorcaravans and campers to use the new Snowdonia 360 route as soon as lockdown ends.
386,000 motorcaravans in the UK (DVLA September)(an increase of 31,000 since July and they have not paid £30,000 to £80,000 for them to sit on the drive!
The motorcaravans will come
The only question is are you ready?
Recent BBC News bulletins have highlighted the fact that most campsites are already full booked WE DO NOT WANT A REPEAT OF LAST YEARS DIRTY CAMPING.
I have attached a copy of our Emergency Staycation Recovery Document and urge you to please circulate to relevant bodies who can act now before its too late.
We can manage this if we work together in the short term during the pandemic and in the long term with a coordinated strategy like they have in the rest of Europe.
And remember we are available to call on or for zoom meetings.
