Motorhome park/s, I can't believe it.
A blueprint here for other developers? I hope it goes through.

I used Contact Us and commented.

Thanks for leaving a comment with the developers.
The Last Neighbour Consultation Date was yesterday, Tuesday 21st.
The Neighbour Consultation Expiry date is Tuesday 4th January.
Whilst the Planning Authority states "Sorry, we are not currently accepting comments from the public on this application", They have received 1 letter of complaint from a resident of Strangford View, Greyabbey, just down the road. (they are a caravan owner in to the bargain). It can be views on the NI Planning Portal. Basically they are worried about more road traffic, Hen/Stag parties using the site, general noise and misbehaviour. Also disturbance to the local wildlife and fauna, despite the plan showing the developer introducing more wild flowers to the area.

I am hoping that after 5th January, we will be able to leave comments on the application.
As I said to the developers, there are currently 10 official caravan sites along the eastern shore of the Ards Peninsula, onto the Irish Sea,( Only 7 allow Touring Motorhomes) plus the Aire facility at The Commons, Donaghadee.
Ards and North Down Borough Council imposed an OVERNIGHT Ban ( midnight - 6am with a £500 fine), at The Commons Aire, Donaghadee from 1st May this year. Believed, the nearest caravan site owner (2 miles away) complained, but not proven).

The potential impact of a holiday village in Greyabbey brings both opportunities and challenges. On the positive side, it could boost the local economy, create jobs, and increase tourism, which might support local businesses. However, concerns include the strain on infrastructure, potential disruption to the peaceful character of the community, and environmental impact. Striking a balance between economic growth and preserving Greyabbey's unique charm will be crucial for long-term sustainability.
