Post by pauls59@yahoo.co.uk »

Nice stop over at Boa Island Motorhome Park. On a working farm at the bridge on to Boa Island. Hot and cold water, EHU, grey and black water disposal, very friendly owner, £14 per night.
Contact Olive on 028 68 631250.
Address is 487 Boa Island Road, Co Fermanagh. Coming from Belleek towards Boa Island, just after the letter Road junction, there is a wide entrance on the right, (grey walls with railings), This is #487. long lane down to the farm.
From Kesh direction, you come over the last island bridge, and the entrance is on the left.
NB; This is a 5 van only site.

This is a Motorhome Craic CL for our Club members only as per the rules of licensing.
We all use to share CL’s until that was challenged :(

Ally are there different rules for exemption certification in NI ?
I ask because we are working with NI councils and tourism departments.
The rules on allowing non members to use exempted sites was updated in the rest of the UK and they are allowed unless prohibited by the exemption club and landowner.

When did this happen?

MCC we’re challenged a few years back as they allowed all to use their cL’s and at that time had to stop.

Exemption certificates in NI whilst based on the natural England criteria are different and gave out by a NI body.

I must check that out.

Ally , I know the act is slightly different and the latest backwood step of trying to join all sites under one act is confusion and frustration in NI.

Can I suggest that you join Paul in our NI campaign group ?
Our region campaign forum groups are not visible unless you are a member of the group, leadership are members of all campaign groups they allow confidential conversations between small groups in a region.

Thanks for the offer but I have enough on my plate, way too much actually. We are also doing our own campaigning, happy to work alongside though and maybe someone else from MCINI would maybe like to join. I’ll point some of them here.

On being made aware of this location by another members posting, I rang the owner to see where exactly they were in relation to Boa Island. The owner asked if I was wanting to make a booking. She told me they only had 5 pitches, and did not ask if I was a member of CL.

"member of MHC"
It states on their licence "only to be used by members of Motorhomecraic" - if the exemptions have changed, in NI, to allow anyone, I have yet to be made aware but I plan to find out. However, whilst i don't think anyone would complain, it doesn't help to make it known publicly until we know if the legislation has changed.
