Hello Lyn
Did Steve respond?
We are working on space sizes in that spacing between needs to be agreed in law. At the moment we have worked with a Fire Safety expert and the recommendation is 3m spaces between vans in a car park, tho it is 6m on a campsite (mainly for caravans with cars beside them), so with vans being approx 2m wide the spaces need to be 5m x 8m ideally.
We hope to have official confirmation on these figures soon

This group of local authorities is shown on the Visit East Of England website - these are out targets!
Those in this regional group should contact their local council and ask about provision for stopover parking and service points.
And then send them relevant supporting documents in your answer, from the website Documents folder

Not really in a position to help at the moment, but Halesworth ( picturesque small Market town, full of independent shops and cafes, just 10 miles from Southwold) just voted in a new Green Local Councillor who is known to be 'hot' re transport, connectivity and bringing folks into small towns. Her name is Annnette Dunning and she is on facebook https://www.facebook.com/NetHalesworth
she might be worth an approach
