Hi,

Dropped in to The Grange, Mortimer Cross, Herefordshire today for coffee and to shop. As they have a large car park I asked if they would consider paid for overnight parking - said added security, extra customers and income. Sadly they said they had allowed in the past and it was abused so they stopped allowing it and won’t do it again

I will follow up with leaflet, CAMpRA details etc. but for another time any ideas what I could say to allay concerns?

Did they say what kind of misbehaviour? What kind of people did they attract? If they make a charge it may also help, and If possible provide a waste point and bins. Limit it to 48hr max stay.

Yes it does provide security and brings in extra customers and sadly they have to weigh this up against the behaviour of a very small minority.

Tell them by becoming an Aire they should attract good quality clients and have free advertising in Search for Sights.
