The Devonshire Arms, in Peak Forest has submitted an application to the Peak District National Park Authority (PDNPA) requesting permission for the site to become a four-pitch campsite.

A 15-minute drive from Buxton, Peak Forest is a small village which has a population in the low hundreds.

Last year, the pub ran a small successful campsite on the grassy patch and the owners of the pub found that the income generated for the pub from the meals and drinks bought by campers was "imperative to remain financially viable".
