Campaign for Real Aires UK - CAMpRA

There was a post last year re plans to develop a motorhome stopover within the car park of the village as part of an upgrade of parking facilities. Does anyone local have any more information about this please ? It was January 2020. Link below copied from a post on Vantastic Wales

I spoke to them earlier on, all their plans/projects are on hold for the time being, due to Covid, but said to keep an eye on their web-site. They are certainly keen to see this project come to fruition, which is hopeful!!

I had a reply to an email from Portmeirion this week to say that owing to the pandemic the development has been delayed, and although all the groundworks are complete, the facilities block fhst they are putting in is still under construction so they are unable to open for stopovers. It may well be thst once complete, this facility will not be a cheap overnight stop. However it could well be worth using if touring the area and wanting to visit The Village attraction, which is definitely worth seeing.

Could they open as a temporary site for self contained motorcaravans ?
This would generate revenue immediately.

The email I received mentioned Health and Safety issues as its a construction site....
