A few positive responses. This looks interesting

Dear Stephen,

Thank you for your email and very interesting proposal. I’ve forwarded it to the relevant Cabinet members for them to answer directly. I’ll have a good look at the CAMpRA website.

Best wishes,

Ruth

And then this.
I have asked for more specific details etc etc why it's not possible.

Stephen

I emailed and had a reply from the relevant people.

Apparently this has been looked into previously..

So many obstacles are in the way it is deemed a non-goer at the moment but an interesting idea.

Perhaps it can be looked at again in the future.

And thus is the response

Steve

I did not bother you with the answer I received but here are some os the points:

Grey water emptying points
Sewerage disposal points
Charging points foe electric hook-ups
Safety inspection
Maintenance budget
Boking system
Patrol checks on unbooked users
Height barriers
Suitable site

And more. It was on the back burner but not likely at this time – or in near future.

Positive reply from Somerset CC:

Dear Mr Ryan,
Thank you for your email regarding motorhome parking and the provision of Aires in Somerset. Having travelled on the continent, I have seen the extensive network of Aires in operation in both rural and urban areas.
In Somerset, we are currently undertaking a series of area wide parking reviews and I am copying your email below to the Traffic Manager, Bev Norman who is overseeing these reviews so she can take your suggestion into account in conducting these reviews.
Kind regards,
Paula

Hi Steve - did you get any response from BANES regarding the P&R’s at Bath?
The council has just announced a shock change in leadership. I don’t know why the change but they are really under the cosh regarding budgets, traffic and the Clean AIr Zone that has just come in.
I’m just about to draft a note to Bath regarding the p&r’s So just wondered if you’d had any feedback yet?
