Spotlight on Craig Croft Aire
Laurieston, Dumfries & Galloway
About the Aire
This welcoming little Aire has been set up by Pauline and Chris Rigby in the grounds of their home, under the dark skies of the Galloway Park. They opened last year through the Dumfries and Galloway temporary scheme and have now extended this thanks to help from CAMpRA. They’ve worked tirelessly this year adding hardstanding to be able to offer year round accommodation, widening gate access and improving facilities. Pauline is looking to add a barbecue area for her guests to relax on those long summer evenings.
Given their location, you are never far from wildlife, and it is brilliant for birdwatchers with a nearby hide in the woods and the red kite feeding station a mile walk from the site. The area is fantastic for walking and cycling and well situated for anyone travelling the SW300 route.
